My Thoughts on Graduating College + What I'm Looking Forward to Post-Grad
How’s the first week of May going?
If it’s anything like mine, then it might be a little hectic with finals, graduation ceremonies, and mother’s day around the corner. I’ve been busy with studying for finals and preparing for the big move that I haven’t had the time to think about all the things that are about to change.
Although, I’m excited to move and start my first big girl job. I’m also going to miss all the memories I made in college. I’m going to miss the late night drives, the flexibility of my school schedule, and the events that were held on/off campus. I’m also going to miss the organizations that I was grateful to be apart of and the bonds that I made with the people here.
I have learned so much about myself in these past four years. I’ve learned that I thrive off of structure and that I need to be passionate about the tasks that I’m given to put a 100% into it. I’ve learned that I can be unpredictable/spontaneous if I want to be but I do love planning things in advance. I’ve also learned how to communicate my feelings better, manage friendships/relationships, and push myself to follow my dreams.
Overall, I’ve learned to put myself first and make decisions that will have an overall positive impact on my future.
Don’t get me wrong, there are also things that I won’t miss about college like studying, going to 8 AM classes / night classes ,or having to do assignments/projects but college as a whole has been an amazing journey and I can’t thank college enough for molding me into the person that I am today.
In other words, I will miss the memories that I made here but I am so excited to see where life takes me and I hope you can be by my side on this journey.
